Our People

For the first time in history, the CRTR Program has established a global network of preeminent coral reef scientists working together across disciplines and regions.  There are currently more than 70 scientists from developed and developing countries working on the CRTR Program.

The management structure of the Program consists of:

  • Executive Committee with overall responsibility for strategy and budgets.
  • Synthesis Panel which identifies and recommends research priorities, and synthesises the research information.
  • Project Executing Agency with responsibility for project management and administration
  • Working Groups who address the Program research themes.
  • Centres of Excellence who serve as regional centres for research, training and capacity building.

Further to this is the Implementing Agency (the World Bank) who is accountable to the Global Environment Facility for all aspects of project implementation and an independent Scientific Review Panel.
